PSNS Replace Roof Sections Building 107

PSNS Replace Roof Sections Building 107

Renovation: Roofing Replacement

ABOUT THIS PROJECT

This design-build project transformed a 100,000 SF, fully occupied Naval pipe fabrication and insulation facility through the installation of new structural steel infill framing, metal decking, infill walls, parapets, stairs, and a complete roof elevation and replacement system. The work included carefully engineered steel columns aligned with existing truss panel points, multiple roof access points, perimeter handrails, new drainage, and a high-performance tapered, fully adhered single-ply roofing system, all installed in full compliance with federal safety standards. Because the building housed critical, hazardous, and highly secure Navy operations that could not be interrupted, the project required meticulous phasing, coordination, and dust/debris protection to ensure continuous operations. Serving as a turnkey subcontractor, Pacific Tech provided design, engineering, safety oversight, and full project management, while self-performing all major scopes of work—from structural steel and decking to roofing, infill walls, stairs, and access systems—delivering a seamless, safe, and reliable solution for this mission-critical facility.
